Coach Kevin Kostibos has been the Head Football Coach at Summit High School since 2013. In his first season the Hilltoppers went 12-0 and claimed the North 2, Group 3 State Championship. For the efforts of the program and staff, Coach Kostibos was awarded the NJFCA State Coach of the Year Award, US Marines Semper Fi NJ Coach of the Year Award, and the Star-Ledger Union County Coach of the Year Award. Coach Kostibos has been selected to serve on the Phil Simms North/South All-Star Game Executive Board and is a member of the New Jersey Football Coaches Association. Coach Kostibos also guided the 2018 Hilltoppers to the North 2 Group 3 State Championship and the Inaugural Group 3 Bowl Game. Kostibos graduated from Johns Hopkins University where he played center for the Blue Jays.

John Liberato | Offensive Coordinator, Quarterbacks & OLB Positional Coach
John Liberato returned to Summit after 3 season at Kean University. Calling the offense for 2 seasons, Liberato helped lead the Cougars to the 2015 & 2016 ECAC Presidents Bowl Championship. Liberato was the head coach at Summit High School for seven seasons. Liberato also coached at New Providence High School, Hanover Park High School, Parsippany High School and Howell High School over the past four decades. Coach Liberato has led his high school teams to two state titles and eight conference championships. In addition to football, Liberato has coached wrestling, baseball and track & field. Coach John Liberato has won numerous awards in his professional career, including being named the 1993 Governor’s Teacher of the Year, the 2013 PAL Citizen of the Year, the 2012 U.S. Marines Semper Fi Coach of the Year and the 2010 NJSIAA Football Coach of the Year.
John Power | Defensive Coordinator, Safeties Positional Coach
Coach John Power is a veteran special education teacher and football coach having coached at the high school and collegiate level. He played at Fork Union Military Academy and the University of Georgia. He started his coaching career at the University of Georgia after his playing career there ended. Following Georgia, Coach Power moved back to New Jersey and has been an assistant coach, and head coach for multiple teams. Also, Coach Power had the opportunity to work as a Player Personnel Director at Penn State.
Casey Sink | Special Teams Coordinator
Coach Sink and his family have been a part of the Summit community for 8 years, after moving here from Brenham, Texas. In addition to coaching the freshman football team, he also teaches Geometry and Algebra 2 at Summit HS. Before moving to NJ, he was the offensive line coach at Brenham HS from 1991 to 2012. Coach Sink has 5 children; Caleb (25), Spencer (24), Mitchell (20), Sadie (18), and Jacey (10).
Drew Nichols | Wide Receivers Positional Coach
Coach Nichols arrived during the tenure of head coach John Liberato to coach Wide Receivers and Defensive Backs. He has taken on more of a role on the offensive side of the ball for Coach Kostibos and now coaches the Wide Receivers. Nichols, is former Hilltopper, has been part of 3 State Championships.
Jimmy Siracusa | JV Offensive Coordinator & Defensive Back Positional Coach
Coach Siracusa will serve as the defensive coordinator for the Hilltopper JV team and coach the defensive backs. He came to the Hilltopper program in 2013 after a successful football career at TCNJ and New Providence. He currently serves as a Summit High school Physical education/health teacher, along with being the Summit Freshman boys basketball coach and New Providence boys JV/Varsity assistant lacrosse coach.
Frank Harpster | JV Defensive Coordinator
Coach Frank Harpster joined the Hilltopper Family in 2021, coaching offensive and defensive line. A graduate of Kean University in 2017, Coach Harpster received his Bachelors degree in History Education, and later received his Masters Degree in Holocaust and Genocide Studies graduating in 2019. During his time at Kean, Coach played Offensive Line for the Cougars where he was part of the 2015 ECAC President’s Bowl Championship Team. Coach Harpster teaches World History, Sociology, and Holocaust and Genocide studies at Summit High School. He also coached JV Softball during the 2022 and 2023 spring seasons. Coach Harpster continues to coach the line while also being the JV Defensive Corrdinator, taking great pride in mentoring student athletes.
Mike Judge | Linebacker Positional Coach
Mike Judge served 25 years as head coach at Central High School, Chatham. He has been a coach at Summit High School since 2008. Coach Judge is proud to be a part of the success Summit High School has experienced. Judge retired from teaching Health and Physical Education at Chatham High School in 2015. Over the years he has received numerous awards including MCFCA coach of the year 1991 and served as president of the MCFCA in 1992.
Vince Termini
Born in Philadelphia and raised in Mt. Laurel, NJ, three-sport varsity athlete (football, wrestling & baseball) at Lenape High School, earning All-SJ & All-Conference honors in football and wrestling. Three-year wrestling starter and Academic All-American in wrestling at Stevens Institute of Technology, graduating with a B.S. in Mathematics. Worked in Technology in NYC/Hoboken/Jersey City prior to moving to into software sales, while volunteering as a coach for Summit Varsity Football (LB & TE) and Wrestling. Currently resides in Summit with wife, NIcole, and golden retriever, Barkley.

Sal Liberato | Director Of Media & Marketing
Sal was a member of the 2009 & 2010 Championship teams at Summit High School. He then went on to play football at the FCS level at Monmouth University. After graduating, Sal coached football for two seasons until he started his own website design and marketing business '908 Enterprises.' His business skills and football experience combined provide marketing and media services for the Summit Hilltoppers that rivals D1 programs at the university level.
